War for the Will

Grade 9, Dirang Ka Kagiso

Once upon a time there was an old man named David. He lived alone in an old house or as some would say, a “spooky house.” David lost his wife and immediately broke down emotionally. People said he had lost his mind. David and his wife had a son named Joseph. Joseph hated his father. He wasn’t in his father’s will, but he wanted to be in it.

One day, David met a very beautiful woman while walking down the street. The woman was so beautiful. David approached her. “Hey, my name is David, and I would like to know your name,” he said. “Sophia,” she replied. “Do you mind if we walk together?” Sophia replied, “No, I don’t mind.”

They walked together and had a very nice conversation about their likes and dislikes. They exchanged contact numbers and met for a morning coffee date. Fast forward, they started seeing each other.

A few months passed by, and Sophia moved in with David. Joseph didn’t know about his father and Sophia. David and Sophia invited Joseph over for dinner so that he could meet Sofia. Joseph went to the dinner, and he felt really uncomfortable. After the dinner Joseph asked his father if he loved her and his father replied, “Yes!”

Two weeks later, David and Sophia got married in community of property. David hadn’t been that happy in a long time. He just wanted to spend the rest of his life with Sophia, but Sophia on the other hand, felt the complete opposite. One day Sophia and David were going for a walk in the park when suddenly the police appeared and took David into the van. Confused as he was, he
went into the van willingly

He was kept in a prison cell and did not know why. The next day heappeared in court and was charged with fraud. He had no idea why he was being charged with fraud. The lawyer of the plaintiff told him that his client’s account was cleared out and the money was transferred into David’s account. David was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

A few days passed and David appeared in court again, only to find out that his wife wanted a divorce. He was devastated and miserable. Sophia was with her stepson, Joseph. In that moment David realised that he had been framed. Sophia wanted 50% of David’s property and wasn’t in love with him at all. They both laughed while David broke down in tears.
